Hi. Dragon Knight was exactly what I was looking for, - a fully functional but uncomplicated set of example scripts for a PHP rpg. Unfortunately some of others, including the supposedly elementry 'killmonster' presented problems to a newb right from the start, even getting to install and setup db properly.

Hi,
Developing a little bit more advanced of a php game than yourself here, and been at it for about a year and 5 months. I predict another 6 months before I can alpha test it.
Thought I would suggest you look at running php scripts as daemons on the server/CRON jobs; which can make php scripts run similar to services on your computer. This enables a much more scalable game.
It is pointless to discuss security measures; but any decent game with a good amount of population will develop bots. There are employable strategies to defeat them.
